Dear Rebecca Stevens,
I was touched by your article. I was impressed by your thoroughness and fluid share of your passionate thoughts. I have seen Black women at work get written up because they said what was on their mind with passion, and it was so unfair.
I do admire Black women because their words are (generalizations follow) so powerfully honest and no BS, their spirituality so amazingly inside their pores, their singing tapping the Holy Spirit, and for the bronze color of "Dimples", the sister of my best friend Toni, seen in the early morning sun. I value you for your courage writing this "ballsy" article.
As a rape survivor I am saddened to hear of the rape, traumatization, discounting and misuse of Black women. I love how you ended, saying, of "White" (Polish and Russian Jewish background here, olive actually) and Black "it is important for white and black women to become allies rather than enemies. If we allow patriarchy to continue to divide us, we’ll all lose in the end. Women’s rights are still not where they should be..." Thank you for helping me understand more.
