Hi. I lead groups as a clinical social worker/therapist very part-time at an intensive outpatient program. In the past I worked in hospitals for over 12 years including with kids with brain tumors, premature babies and families, HIV children and families, women - labor and delivery and other women matters, and covering many different types of departments. I also worked with homeless veterans in a program that helped them get homes, and at a psych hospital with adolescents and adults, and at a psych sort of crisis holding place ( a little scary at times), and with a detox unit (leading groups) I facilitated staff series called "Centering in the Sacred".

I saw some touching and inspiring things .

I also facilitated classes in stress management and selected topics for medical caregivers. I'm working on a fantasy novel and a compilation of my house-sitting experiences in flower-land also (and many more projects, most on hold/in-progress). I have some pieces sitting in my drafts folder here as they develop.

I also taught intensive college classes - 30 of them and did some other stuff. I sometimes remember wisdom I've gleaned from seeing others' mistakes, someone’s dying wish or treatment, bravery and faith of people, and people's transformations. I’ve experienced good, gratifying even amazing witnessing of things that went well and from groups that went extremely well, which have often been counter-balanced with groups that didn’t go as well, challenges and learning pains/opportunities.
