I am taking a course in AI because I'd like to be knowledgeable about the latest technology. But...I also help a non-native English speaker on Zoom with her writing, including recently, for a keynote address.

Not that I have an ego or am competitive or anything, but I had the unique and slightly aggravating experience of her consulting with AI for better headings or sentences, as if we were three in the room, she, me, and this....this.....think tank thing.

It did give us some useful categories and unique info we would not have had such as about Maori navigation by boat. And yet, as we went over it, the info sounded rather detached and objective, and not warm and fuzzy or audience-friendly.

Then we needed to change that perspective for the speech. My first experience editing with a client and ChapGBT. Has that happened to any of you?
