I haven't personally talked to Judge Dolly Gee, but it must be frustrating for her to try to follow the Flores agreement and order release of children and get stymied by legal impasses. (How sad for the chiildren!) Here we see the limitations of the legal system.

I just wish the determinations about refugees could be informed by a congress of nursing mothers, public health associations, child development experts, ethical experts, and trauma and torture experts - real ones, world advocacy bodies, and some children. And a comedian thrown in to lighten this tragic affair.

Oh - I forgot the most important part of this congress: children who were detained and released, mothers and family who were detained, and expelled unaccompanied minors if they can be found, mothers whose children died in custody, sexual assault - multiple sexual assault survivors, trafficked minors, lawyers and judges and advocacy organizations who have seen the horrors and compare it to aspects of Nazi, Germany.
