I'm glad. Encouragement helps1 Good wishes with your new story.... Yes, that would be fun, getting pubs compete and the one who got the piece having vied for it because they resonate strongly or know their readers will. I understand, and have had the frustration of some pubs not getting back to me or it takig a log time. Though I'd like to be more "detached" I get the vulnerable feeling of sending something original and open out there and checking and waiting to see if it will be published.
I haven't submitted to some of the publications who have published you. Have you thought of submitting to Illumination-Curated? by Illumination. I find stories I've submitted to "Age of Empathy" and "Illumiatnion" or "Illumination-Curated" are published pretty quickly, though I've needed to make some changes a couple of times, either when the editor asked (Age of Empathy),, or when I asked (on the slack Channel for Illumination).. There is one pub that I haven't quite broken into - they accepted me as a writer but the couple of pieces I sent did not quite fit. One i could have re-done with their vague suggestion but my feelings got hurt and it sits in my draft box. Besides, it didn't come from passion, it came from exploration of a topic (the history of writing letters). Could you refresh my meory as to the first piece I met you on, it was about love -- do you recall it - the opus, that was so amazing?
I hope this wasn't too long of a response,
