Thank you for explaining feedback-informed changes in detail in this article. The emphasis on quality and the encouragement to create more researched and edited stories with better titles, sub-titles and images is inspiring.
What I would like to know more about is: 1) how readers besides Medium readers are calculated into the new plans. I often have many more external readers, and that takes some courageous exposing of my work. Sometimes external readers are expert writers and writing teachers , or exerts in their fields, and can assess stories in meaningful ways.
2) Is there a way that external readers can easily clap and comment? People who have been around Medium for a time know that we can clap up to 50 times for stories. based on enthusiasm and support. Is there a way to let external readers know, in a brief message, that they can also clap up to 50 times depending on these criterion, for the pieces?
Thanks for addressing these matters, in advance, and for enhancing the excellence of the platform, with all the efforts that involves! I'm glad that some writers that inspire me from other countries will now be compensated for their unique and wonderful contributions.
